Below is a home we did in Rolling Hills Estates in Lewistown, We started the landscaping by removing an old black plastic edging material that was over grown by creeping grass. Then we used our Stihl gas powered edger to make a true edge around the mulch beds, we then applied a granulated slow release Herbicide called Snapshot that will produce a barrier between the old mulch and new mulch that will almost eliminate any weeds or grass root system grow through it. We then hauled in triple ground brown hardwood mulch and spread in all the mulch beds and areas. We also have this customer on our weekly mowing/trimming schedule. Very nice before and after pictures!!! |
A few more after pictures. |
Below is a home we did in Garden View, Reedsville. This home was purchased and the purchaser contacted us to bring this home back under control. This home sat idle for a lengthy amount of time with no yard maintenance. We started by de-thatching the lawn and removing the old thatch. Then we mowed and bagged the grass. We then de-thatched the yard a second time and removed the thatch. We trimmed the hedges and brought them down to a more reasonable size so they could see out their windows and use the steps that are located along the side of the home. We trimmed all the lower branches on a few trees. A few hours with this home and it really started to look like a totally different home. |

Below is a home we did in Pleasant Acres in Lewistown. This home owner was looking for a way to hide some public utilities that were located in front of her house next to the main road. The goal was to incorporate from some of her other beds the grasses and the same type of bark mulch and to not have a very high over powering Korean boxwoods and a Scott's brand single ground bark mulch. |
add to the appearance of her home after a complete remodel. We removed some old overgrown shrubs and replaced them with some arborvitaes and hues. We then replanted a few areas with new grass seed, starter fertilizer and then strawed the work area. |

Here are a few pictures of our loaders. The picture on the left is of our old loader and we got in the summer of 2008. Very nice loaded John Deere 328 Loader. John Deere only makes one size larger loader than this one. This new loader is totally loaded with just about every option including heat and A/C. |
Here is a home located in Belleville. We finish graded this yard and used a "Rockaway" attachment used on the front of the loader to level and pick rocks out of the existing topsoil. We then planted this yard using a Metro Blend of grass seed, which is comprised of pacesetter Rye seed, starter fertilizer and straw in place. This lawn really came up fast and full. |
Below is a home we did in South Hills in Lewistown. We started the landscaping by trimming all the existing shrubs/bushes and removing some over grown bushes. We then buried all the down spouts using schedule 40, 4 inch drain pipe. We then removed an old coal chute and re-blocked it shut. We then dug out for and poured a new concrete rear patio using 4,000 psi, high strength concrete. We replanted new hue shrubs. We added a new mailbox area with a new post and copper mailbox and a new lamp post with new entrance lights to the beginning of their walkway. We added red pygmy bar berries bushes to both areas. We then used our Stihl gas powered edger to make a true edge around the mulch beds, we then applied a weed barrier with hold down pins. We then planted some male and female holly bushes to the property that way they can pollinate each other and produce red winter berries for color. We then hauled in triple ground brown hardwood mulch and spread in all the mulch beds and areas. We then hauled in screened topsoil and replanted a few low areas in the yard.
